I discovered my passion for chiropractic through my own childhood experiences. My parents took me to a chiropractor for everything from stomachaches and acne to dancing injuries. I learned early that the spine protects the communication between the brain and the rest of the body. When those nerve signals are restored, the body functions the way it was designed to.
The thing I love most about chiropractic is helping people find relief from mild to severe pain without drugs or surgery. It’s rewarding to help patients identify the root cause of their pain rather than simply masking symptoms. Combined with exercise, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices, chiropractic helps the body use its innate ability to heal.
I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker Chiropractic College after attending Texas A&M University, where I majored in Biology/Community Health, minored in Speech Communication, performed on the university’s first organized dance team, and was 1st runner up in the Miss Texas ATM University pageant.
Although I grew up in Marshall, I have deep family roots in Waco, with connections to the founding of the Waco Tribune-Herald, Providence Hospital’s Cardiology Unit, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo. I am honored to serve the community both as a chiropractor and as a city council member of Lorena Texas.
Outside the office, I enjoy spending most of my time with my husband Jay. I also love taking my grandchildren swimming and to the Cameron Park Zoo. I also enjoy church activities, camping, hiking, traveling, and reading.
A self-described health enthusiast, I admit one guilty pleasure: bacon. It makes everything taste better. The smell reminds me of waking up to my parents cooking Saturday breakfast, and those memories are priceless!
Travel has always been one of my greatest passions. I toured Mexico with a symphony orchestra and college choir, singing the Mass in Latin, visited Germany to explore my family’s heritage and see the Neuschwanstein Castle, and even went cliff jumping in Maui. I still have plenty of places left on my bucket list!
